Yabow NP 50
Product Introduction
Yabow NP 50 is a non-halogenated flame retardant based on organic phosphates.The product achieves its flame retardant effect through intumescence.The polyester polymer with Yabow NP 50 foams and crosslinks on exposure to flame and forms a stable char at the surface acting as a barrier.The protective layer provides a heat-insulating effect, reduces oxygen access and prevents dripping of molten polymer. Yabow NP 50 is a white powder, and its effect achieves Clariant’s OP1312.

Applications
Yabow NP 50 is mainly used in PA. The flame retarded polyamide compounds exhibit very good physical and electrical properties. Yabow NP 50 has excellent compatibility ,and it has a good synergistic effect with Clariant’s ADP (OP series flame retardant). Can be used in combination with Clariant OP1312, or can be used directly. The glass-fiber-reinforced nylon with Yabow NP 50 obtains excellent mechanical properties and good color compatibility.
Formulation
In glass-fiber-reinforced PA66, a dosage of 16 to 18%( by wt.) Yabow NP 50 is usually sufficient to obtain the UL 94 V-0 ( at 1.6mm thickness). Subject to the polymer grade and processing conditions the dosage of the flame retardant may vary.
Packaging
Delivered in 20kg or 25kg paper bags with PE inliner.
Storage
The product should be stored in a dry place at room temperature.
